Show Parents Go To High School Nov. Third November Third is going to be a great day in Roosevelt for the "Kids!" That's the day Dad and Mom go to school and the kids stay home and wash the dishes, scrub the floors, tend junior, rake leaves, clean out the attic and the garage, and do a hundred hun-dred and one things that Mother and Dad have to do each day. Yep, Friday, Nov. 3, is Parents' Par-ents' Day at high school, according ac-cording to Principal Lawrell I Jensen and Mrs. Alameda Mc-Kenna, Mc-Kenna, Parent-Teacher association associa-tion president, who are working jointly on the project, and announce an-nounce the following program. Parents will report at 9 a. m. and will go through a full schedule of class work with teachers giving Dad and Mom some idea of just what Sally and Bill get each day in the respective classes. The only difference will be that periods will be half time, to give a chance to run through the entire en-tire day's program during the morning. At noon a lunch is be- ing prepared for the parents, and this is to be followed by a program at 1:30. Mrs. McKenna will officially open the program with a brief welcome, and will be followed in turn by remarks from Principal Prin-cipal Jensen. A discussion of school problems will be lead by Mrs. Orin Swain and Ralph Shields. Superintendent of county coun-ty school Dean C. Christensen will be next on the program and will speak on local problems as they affect the Duchesne district. dis-trict. The remainder of the afternoon af-ternoon will be left unscheduled to give parents and teachers a chance to confe? on problems. According to Mr. Jensen, busses will run as usual, and all parents are expected to come to school. Class schedules will be sent home with students prior pri-or to Nov. 3. Parents who might have problems they would like discussed at the afternoon program pro-gram are urged to send them to either Mrs. McKenna or Mr. Jensen. |
