Show Rough Riders Bow To Uintah 20 -13; Last Game, Oct, 27 The Rough Riders took another an-other one on the chin last Friday Fri-day from their arch-rivals, the Uintah Indians, as they came out on the short end of a 20-13 score, but in defeat they were as good a team as Vernal, even though the score was against them. Coach Elden Wright's lads drew first blood by ambling the Utes' goal line early in the first quarter for a touchdown, and then Don Horrocks bucked over for the extra point and the Rough Riders lead 7-0 at the end of the first period. Vernal started rolling in the second quarter and pushed over a pair of touchdowns to lead 14-7. They scored again in the third and Roosevelt made their second talley in the final period. per-iod. Both teams showed flashes of good football and at other times looked a bit ragged, but on the whole they were a pretty well matched pair of grid teams. Vernal Ver-nal had considerable advantage in weight and experience. Moab had little or no trouble running up a 65-6 score on Al-terra Al-terra down Grand county way to take a step nearer the Re-gidn Re-gidn 5 title, which they can secure se-cure Oct. 27 when they meet Uintah at Vernal in the final game of the season.
