Show Mrs. Alberl Semken On Monday evening, Oct .16, another young man from Gusher, Gush-er, Lorin Arnold, son of Mr. and Mrs. Manfred Arnold, and Miss Mary Ella Hone, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Frank Hone, of Spanish Fork, crossed the sea of matrimony. They were , married at the home of the bride's parents, in the presence of members of the immediate families and a few friends. We join in wishing them much happiness. hap-piness. A cottage meeting was held Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Elliot. Mr. and Mrs. Royal Trowers and children, and Mr. Trowers' mother, of Junction City, Kan., called Monday at the home' of Mrs. Naomi Jacobs. I Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Duvall , and son, from Lehi, visited a few days last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Duvall. Du-vall. Miss Dellamae Arnold, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. . George Arnold spent the weekend with home folks. She is attending the L.D.S. Business college in Salt Lake. Mrs. Cliff Memmott, of the Roosevelt Standard, visited in Gusher last week. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Duvall went to Provo Monday for a load of apples. The 25th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Dom-gaard Dom-gaard was celebrated Friday eve at the Gusher Union church by a host of neighbors and friends, who royaly entertained them with a humorous mock wedding wed-ding entitled, "The Hill-billy Wedding," after which a lovely cake was cut and a plate lunch served to all present. Several lovely gifts were received by the couple. Carl Backis, of Longmont, Colorado, a seed buyer, was in Gusher on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Walter White, of California, and Mrs. Ward White and daughter, Miss Bertha Ber-tha White, of Vernal, visited in Gusher one day this week. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dotson and son, and Mrs. Phyllis Roberts Rob-erts and daughters, Linda Lee and Stephanie, of American Fork, spent Sunday at the Albert Al-bert Semken home. Arnold Taylor, county supervisor, super-visor, of Vernal, was in town Wednesday on business. Several ladies met Monday at the home of Mrs. Verna Arnold Arn-old and quilted. Sunday morning during the services at the Gusher Union church, the congregation was entertained by Richard Dotson, who played several special numbers num-bers on an electric Hawaiian guitar. |
