Show Drive-In To Aid Scouts In Finance Campaign On Tuesday, July 17, the Boy Scout of America, Roosevelt District, Dis-trict, have a chance to raise some of the money assessed them by the National Parks council They will get all the proceeds of a picture show at the Basin Drive-In Drive-In on this date. According to Ted Olpin, district dis-trict finance chairman, Mr. and Mrs. Themis Costuros are donating donat-ing all their profits of the film, "Mr. Scoutmaster," on Tuesday to the district. Tickets' have been given to each LDS ward and to other groups who are sponsoring Boy Scout troops. Each ward which sells tickets for the show to its members will receive credit on their assessed amount from the district. In announcing the offer of Mr. and Mrs. Costuros, Mr. Olpin urged each ward to sell tickets only' in their territory and to plan the canvas next week. Bishop John L. Swenson of the Roosevelt ward reported the Deacon's quorum quor-um would make the canvas -next Monday or Tuesday, July 9 and 10. and urges everyone to buy a ticket, which wilf be at regular prices, 500 for adults, and help keep the scouting program going in the Basin. |
