Show Breaks Other Leg Mrs. S. F. Mortensen, Sr., who has been recovering from a recent fracture of her left leg, had the misfortune of suffering a fracture frac-ture of the right leg Wednesday evening and at this writing is still hospitalized. BRIDGE LUNCHEON Mrs. W. H. Linck was hostess Wednesday afternoon at a luncheon lunch-eon at her home. A long table, centered with a bowl of blue delphineums and yellow snapdragons snap-dragons was marked for the following fol-lowing guests: Mrs. Homer Petersen Peter-sen of Delta, Mrs. Floyd Lamb of Roosevelt and Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. J. Wesley Jenson, Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. S. F. Mortensen, Sr., Mrs. Fred Todd, Mrs. A. C. Tolboe and Mrs. Charles Denver. A delicious de-licious luncheon was enjoyed by the guests after which bridge was the afternoon diversion. High score prize was awarded to Mrs. Lott. Mrs. W. E. Burton, Mrs. Glen Kearney and family, Mrs. W. R. Harris ,and Mrs. Carlos Clark motored to Vernal Wednesday to spend the day visiting. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Murray are Mr., and Mrs. John Tucker and baby girl, Kerstin Ann, who came from Boston for a vacation trip. Mrs. Tucker ds the former LaVora Murray. Mr. Tucker has been- attending at-tending Harvard to receive his Doctor of Education degree. He is assistant to superintendent of schools at Winchester, Mass. They visited in Salt Lake City, where they were met by Mr Tucker's father, W. P. Tucker, who came form Mesa, Arizona, for a short visit with his son and family, be-before be-before they came to Myton., Mrs. Tucker was director of health education at the Boston YWCA during the past year and will remain here for a three-week visit while her husband will leave by plane Sunday to return to his duties and classes. Mr. and Mrs. Don Henry and Mrs. Laura Dennis were overnight guests at the LaVor Dennis home Thursday, leaving the following morning for their home in Los Angeles. N. L. Peterson, who has been confined to his bed during the past few years, was taken to Salt Lake City, last week where he will be able to receive proper care for his affliction. Mr. and Mrs. Max Morrill and children of Salt Lake City were visitors last week at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Morrill. While here they participated partici-pated in a family fihshing trip. They are former Myton residents and were busy greeting old friends during their short vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Ross and children, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Morrill and family and their daughter,' Darlene, of Ogden were members of a fishing party to Paradise Park during the weekend. Miss Alice Todd was a guest at a bridge luncheon Friday evening eve-ning when Mrs. .Parley Lambert of Roosevelt entertained at the Grill. i Charles Meranda came from American Fork Saturday to spend the weekend at his farm west of town and attend to his corps. GIVEN DISCHARGE Ned Clark received his honorable honor-able discharge from the Marines at Treasure Island, Calif., June 21 and is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Clark. Ned served in the Marines during the past two years and was stationed in Japan most of that time. He was a corporal at the time of his- discharge. Mr. and Mrs. Don Rawson and daughter, Brenda Sue, arrived Saturday from Salt Lake City for a weekend visit at the home of Mrs. Rawson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaVor Dennis. |
