Show Sun Dance Dates Are JuJy 13 to 16 The annual ceremonial Ute Indian Sun Dance will be held at the Whiterocks Sun Dance ground's from July 13 to 16, is an anouncement made this week by members of the tribe who are in charge of arrangements. According to tradition of the Indian people the colorful dance will draw members of the Ute tribe and other tribes from all over the western areas. They come to compete in the ceremonial ceremon-ial dance that has been held almost al-most since the beginning of organized or-ganized bands and tribes. Unlike the Bear Dance, only Indians can join this activity. The public is invited to witness the affair which will see the dancers continue day and night from late on July 13 to July 16. An admission charge is to be made. |
