RECITES VOWS Miss Opal Jean Timothy became the bride of Wayne Allen in a ceremony performed Sunday,, June 24, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Timothy. Opal Jean Timothy joined the ranks of June brides when she exchanged vows Sunday, June 24, with, Wayne Allen. President Ezra J. Nixon of the Roosevelt LDS Stake Derformed the double ring ceremony at trie home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Timothy, Roosevelt. The bride-' groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Allen of Richaland, Wash. Following the ceremony the newlyweds were honored at a wedding dinner at the Frontier Grill. The bride wore a -sheath dress of pink brocaded satin. Her accessories were white and she carried a bouquet of white carnations car-nations centered with red roses. Miss Naomi Timothy, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore an afternoon dress of blue silk. Miss Glend'a Allen, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid. Her afternoon dress was of yellow yel-low organdy For her daughters wedding Mrs. Timothy chose a pale blue organdy organ-dy dress, and Mrs. Allen wore a navy blue dress and coat ; ensemble. ensem-ble. Best man duties were performed by Matt Wallis of Salt Lake City. The three tiered wedding cake was decorated with pink and white roses and topped with a minature bride and groom. Background setting for the occasion oc-casion was provided by pink candles can-dles in tall cadnelbra and baskets of pink and white carnation, pink larkspur, and pink and' white daisies. dai-sies. A program was presented with Wendell Johnson as master of ceremonies. . Mrs. Leon Ross and Janice Anderton sang a vocal duet. Other numbers were vocal trio by Mrs. Jay Gates, Mrs. Leon Ross and Miss Billie Riedhead; vocal solo, Miss Janice Anderton accompanied accom-panied by Maralyn Anderson; and vocal solo, Leroy Anderson. Toast to the Bride was given by Matt Wallis and toast to the groom by Mrs. Marjorie Wogec. The newlyweds will make their home in Salt Lake City. |
