Emmons and is looking forward to a game with Altonah Ward at the Rodeo grounds July 11 at 3 p.m. The Relief Society is sponsoring sponsor-ing a canning demonstration at the Mt. Emmons Ward Chapel July 12. The Gleaner class met Wednesday Wednes-day at the home of Mrs. Edger Miles. A meeting of the class will be held every Wednesday at 3 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rust and Mrs. Evan Bennion were at the Salt Lake Temple Thursday doing temple work and work in the Archives. Mr- and Mrs. Earl Case, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case and Bishop Mecham also went to Salt Lake on a temple excursion. Last Saturday, June 30 a group went to the Duchesne Stake House where Rolland Powell and Bruce Iorg were baptized. NEWS BRIEFS The club originally owned by Lyle Fisher has been leased with an option to buy by N. R. Yance. Mr and Mrs. Yance are making their home in the Fisher residence on the river. President Brotherson of Boneta, Leon Burto of Talmage, Bernard Winkler of Bluebell and Lynn Hansen of Alta mont were visitors at the camp the last evening to witness the Court of Honor. SOCIAL EVENTS Mr- and Mrs. Barton Bennion of Roosevelt were in town for the weekend and' made a fishing trip into the mountains. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wm. Anderson Ander-son were in Salt Lake City on Thursday. A visitor in their home the previous week was Mrs. An-derson's An-derson's nephew, Ted Collard of Concord, Calif., who was returning j from a business trip to Denver. Al Taylor, of Taylors Photo Shop, Ray Hamberg" and sons, Dale and -Rex made a fishing trip into the Uintahs one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Lindon Famsworth and daughter, Lulu visited their ! daughter, Mrs. Blaine Corbin and family and attended the Rodeo in fc Vernal.
