Show Typhoid, Small Pox Shots To Be Given At Schools Mrs. Clyde Johnson, Duchesne County school nurse, this week announced the schedule of visits vis-its to the various schools at which time immunization shots will be given for typhoid and small pox. Also announced by Mrs. Johnson John-son were the dates when Mrs. Nettie O. Remington, Uintah County school nurse, would carry out their program in schools in the Roosevelt area. CORRECTION Something was left out of the notice inserted in this paper pa-per last week about "Booster" shots for typhoid If a booster is missed this year, or any year during the three years following the lime the shot was given, all immunity is gone, and the three shots will have lo be given the following follow-ing year, one week apart . . . That's sufficient reason why one should gel the booster shot this year. . . . The schedule sched-ule is repealed this week for your convenience. They will give only typhoid shots, and all schools will be visited the same day, only at different hours. According to Mrs. Johnson, all who had typhoid shots should get a booster shot this year, something necessary if one desires de-sires to remain immunized from the disease. The regular shots must be given every three years. Small pox shots are good for five years and only those who have not had a shot in the past five years should respond.
