Show Sweetheart Ball I Set For Feb. 9 At Union High ! The Associated Student Council Coun-cil of the Uintah Basin met at the Union High School recently to resume plans for the forthcoming forth-coming Sweetheart Ball. The annual event will take place in the new Union High gymnasium at Roosevelt on Feb 9, with the theme, "Sweethearts" "Sweet-hearts" prevailing in decorations and arrangements. Each high school in the Basin has the privilege of entering a contestant, and so far the following fol-lowing schools have submitted names of their respective candidates: candi-dates: Union, Miss Frances Ces-pooch; Ces-pooch; Altamont, Miss Eva Jean Christensen; Duchesne, Mis Donna Wheeler. Uintah and Tab-iona Tab-iona High Schools have not yet sent in their contestants' names. The dance is one of the outstanding' out-standing' social functions of th school year and each contestant will receive a lovely gift. The Associated Student Council Coun-cil is composed of members of each high school's student council, coun-cil, with the following elected for this year: president. Curtis Dastrup, Altamont; vice-president. Glade Watkins. Uintah-secretary, Uintah-secretary, Brent Morrill, Union! and reporter, Maurine Miles', Altamont. The council also sponsors the annual sportsmanship trophy. |
