Show LeetonBenneti Fern Houston CAME TO FUNERAL Out-of-town friends that came to pay respects to Otis Horrocks, besides their relatives were: Garr Bolton of Tremonton, Mrs, Mary Hamaker of Dugway, Mrs. Wayne Hamaker of American Fork and Joe Price of Vernal, formerly of here. The family of Otis Horrocks deeply appreciate the many acts of love' and kindness rendered to them during the loss of their hits-band hits-band and father, for the' help during dur-ing his sickness, the food and flow- ers, for the funeral service and for all the sympathy from friends and neighbors. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Haslem and Mr. and Mrs, Gerald Bolton visited vis-ited in Vernal at the home of the Lloyd Browns last Sunday. SHOWER HONORS BRIDE A very lovely shower was given at the home of Mrs, Theo Phillips, complimenting Mrs. Kenneth Phillips, Phil-lips, who was the former Caroi Swain. Many nice things were received re-ceived by the bride and dainty refreshments were served. The entertainment en-tertainment was each one present painting a quilt block with the tube paint on a ready stamped block, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stringham-of Vernal were dinner guests at the home of W. H. Coltharp on Sunday. Sun-day. Later in the evening Mr. and Mrs, J. A. Houston and Mr and Mrs Floyd Harmston visited there also. Mrs. Coltharp was not feeling very well. She had a slight hem-orrage hem-orrage in the stomach and was taken to Salt Lake City in the night by her son, Ned. Mr. and' Mrs. Darrell Hall of Salt Lake, spent the weekend with their parents the Bill Nelsons of Roosevelt and the Carl Halls of Bennett. Mrs, W. H. Coltharp and Mrs. George Houston visited in Vernal, Tuesday. Mrs. France's Bowen went to Salt Lake City to get Keith, who has been there under medical treatment. They will be' home for a few days. Beverly. Long visited in Roosevelt Roose-velt with the Norman Long family fam-ily Friday and Saturday. Gus Emert and daughter, Dicia, were Sunday visitors at the home of W. H, Coltharp. The' last party of the Secret Pals was held at the home' of Delma Long. The evening was spent playing bingo. Gifts were exchanged and a lovely lunch was served' by the two hostesses, Delma Del-ma Long and Frances Bowen. Garr Bolton returned to Tremonton Tre-monton Monday after having spent the weekend at home'. He' is employed by his brother in a hardware hard-ware store there. Jack and Deloris Bergdahl phoned phon-ed home that they have' jobs in Los Angeles and are doing very well. They lived there before coming com-ing here. GET TV RECEPTION Roy Murphy has installed a TV set and is enjoying it very much, as well as the visiting neighbors. They get the channels from Grand Junction and Salt Lake KSL very clear. |
