Show f LAPOltlT Mrs. Mabel Jenkins SUNSHINE CLUB HONORS MEMBERS The Sunshine Club held their birthday party last Thursday at the home of Mrs1. Jessie Neumeyer, in honor of her birthday. Mrs. Pearl Woolley gave a reading. Bunko was played. Mrs. Neumeyer Neu-meyer won first prize and Pearl Perry the booby prize. Mrs. Eliza Neilson made the birthday cake and a gift was given by the club. Refreshments were served to Mrs. Ardith Huber, Mrs. Lillie Bige-low, Bige-low, Mrs. Mable Jenkins, Mrs. Eilza Neilson, Mrs'. Vera Caldwell; visitors, Mrs. Mae Oberhansly of Hayden and Mrs. Beulah Nyberg. Mrs. Mae Sprouse' accompanied her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs, Clive Sprouse of Roosevelt Roose-velt to Salt Lake City, Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mr. and Mrs. Barney Sessions and baby of Rupert, Idaho, and Mrs, Erma Sessions and Mrs. Bruce Watkins and children of Vernal we're visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Taylor and family last Saturday. Mrs. Vera Caldwell was a substitute sub-stitute cook at the Lapoint school Monday for Mrs. Norma Burton. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Burton attended the funeTal services for Mrs. Sylvia Merkley in the Maeser chapel Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Anderson were in Roosevelt Monday where Mrs. Anderson went for a medical checkup. LaSall Neilson and children, Jo Lynn and Terrol, and her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Eliza Neilson, were in Roosevelt last Saturday. Mrs Merl Jenkins and Mrs. Mable Jenkins were recent dinner guests of Mrs. Annie Davis of Roosevelt. Mrs. Grace Lambert was in Roosevelt last Sautrday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pree'ce. Mrs. Wilma Haslem and son, Sam, of Alterra visited last Sunday Sun-day with her mother, Mrs. Sarah Norton, who accompanied her home for a while. She will also visit a son. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Norton and family of Roosevelt, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Huber and Carma HacRing went to Salt Lake City Tuesday morning on business. busi-ness. Terry' Daniels of Oakland, Calif, returned to his school' after spending spend-ing the holidays with his parents', Mr. and Mrs. John Daniels, and family. HAVE WORK MEETING The Relief Society had a work meeting Tuesday and a chicken dinner for the visiting teachers. They cut and pieced quilt blocks. The officers gave each teacher a present, who had a record of 100 teaching during the year 1955. Mr, and Mrs. Bill Yack and sons- of Neola visited her mother, Mrs. Caroline Thompson, recently. recent-ly. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Huber. Mrs. Ardith Huber and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Huber attended the funeral services of William W. Abplanalp in Ogden, Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Horrocks of Las Vegas, Nevada, visited her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins. Jen-kins. They came to attend the funeral, service of Mr. Horrocks' brother, Otis, of Bennett on Jan. 14th. iRodney Horrocks was called home from Craig, Colo., due to the death of his brother, Otis Horrocks. BIRTHDAY PARTY Mr. and Mrs. George Bigelow gave a birthday dinner in honor of OrvilL Hullinger and Dona Hartle.
