Show By Mrs. Merle Ross Gale Larsen Goes To Stock Show Anticipation is now a reality, when Gale Larsen left Wednesday with County Agent Bob Murdock and the other members of the 4-H livestock judging team for Denver, Colo. We' are very happy to have one of our boys make this team, and we surely hope they come home with more laurels. Frank Horrocks and son, Lavon, of Rangely, visited friends and relatives here' last week. They came in to attend the funeral, of Mr. Horrocks' nephew, Otis Horrocks. Hor-rocks. Max Ross, who has employment in Rangely, spent the weekend' with his family. Mr1, and Mrs, Milt Larsen and President and Mrs. Hale Holgate and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ross attended at-tended the funeral of Max Lewis' in Duchesne Monday. Mrs. Bill Tanner returned from Salt Lake, where' she had a medical medi-cal check-up, She is feeling some better, but will have to keep in touch with her doctor. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Eldredge of Vernal spent Tuesday and Wednesday Wed-nesday visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin John-I John-I son. TAKES BABY TO HOSPITAL Mr, and Mrs. Chad Evans had to rush their baby to the hospital in Salt Lake. To date no definite word has been heard from them. The young fellow has been very frail since birth. DUP HOLDS MEETING The DUP meeting was held at the home of Lois Stansfield. Ora Holgate, Vera Larsen and Ida Horrocks attended. Mr. and Mrs. Milt Larsen attended at-tended the funeral of Jack Zimmerman Zim-merman in Roosevelt, Saturday. John Gilbert returned from the LDS Hospital Wednesday. R. G. Ross came home from Salt Lake Saturday night, returning return-ing to his work Sunday. Mrs. Frank Holgate and daughters, daugh-ters, Nona Lee and Gwen, were visiting at the homes of President and Mrs. Hale Holgate and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Johnson, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Thompson made a business trip to Salt Lake recently. The Relief Society held their work meeting Tuesday. A pot-luck pot-luck lunch was served to the ladies present, Mr. and Mrs. John Richens and daughter, Donna, spent the weekend week-end in Salt Lake City. Following Mutual' Tuesday evening, eve-ning, the Bridgeland Mutual came over and the two wards joined in dance practice. Visiting at the' home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milt Larsen, were Mr, and Mrs. Myron Mower and boys of Provo, and Mrs. Milton Mil-ton Poulson of Duchesne. President and Mrs. Hale Holgate and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ross went to Salt Lake, Friday. The men were' to join the stake Temple-Excursion, Temple-Excursion, but due' to the sudden illness of their grandson, Tony Chad Evans, the Holgates returned home. Mr. Ross stayed and went through the Temple. Clarence Horrocks attended the funeral' of his cousin, Otis Horrocks, Hor-rocks, is Roosevelt Saturday. . Shauna Gilbert, daughter of Mr.-and Mr.-and Mrs. John Gilbert, has gone to California to work. Shauna has been working in Salt Lake for some time. ' FARMERETTES TO MEET The Farmerettes will hold their monthly1 meeting at the home of Viola Shephard. Mrs. Cleo Pappas of Gusher will give a demonstration demonstra-tion on cake decorating. All members mem-bers are urged to be present. |
