Show 4-ES Girls Have Wet Camp Trip An outing at Wolf Creek Pass proved to be a rather damp affair for the 4-H girls who returned re-turned Friday. Under the direction direc-tion of Mrs. Jack Nielson, much fun was enjoyed despite the inclement in-clement weather, by Elaine and Jean Chandler, Geraldine Richardson, Rich-ardson, LaRee Bywater, Bettey Lee and LaRae. Woodard, Sher-ill Sher-ill Richens, Carol Ann Nielson, Inez Burgess, Mary Ellen Giles, Millie Ann Wilkins and1 Joyce Gingell. A group of boys under the supervision of Jack Nielson and the smaller girls of the 4-H group, supervised by Mrs. Owen Burgess, 'also enjoyed the outing at Wolf Creek Pass. Mrs. Denzel Hemphill and son, Robert, took Mrs. Hemphill's Hemp-hill's mother, Mrs. Nellie McKee of Vernal, to Salt Lake City for medical attention, returning i-home Wednesday night. While there they visited Helene Hemphill, Hemp-hill, who is attending school in Salt Lake. ' Mrs. Jim Felter and baby are visiting in Salt Lake City eagerly awaiting the return of her husband, who will soon return re-turn from Korea, where he is serving in the U. S. armed forces. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas, Sr. enjoyed a weekend family reunion re-union when their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas, Jr. and family, came from Salt Lake City to join them and Mr. and Mrs. ! Farrell Purcell and children, i who are visiting here from Ar-I Ar-I cata, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. i Calvin Monks and two children of Myton. Mrs. Guy Taylor and daughter, daugh-ter, LeRene, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Ray Summarell, of Roosevelt, on a trip to Provo and Salt Lake City last week, returning home Thursday. They visited relatives and friends while there. Mrs. Elsie Dean, of Salt Lake City, was greeting old friends during the weekend while visiting visit-ing her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Hancock and family and her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Dean and children. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Thompson and daughter, Carla, of American Amer-ican Fork, spent the weekend in Myton, attending to their i property interests and visiting Mrs. Thompson's mother, Mrs. Guv Tavlor. MASONIC OUTING Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd accompanied ac-companied Mr. and Mrs. Emil Munz and son, John, to Vernal, Sunday, where they attended the Masonic picnic in Merkley Park. -They report a most enjoyable en-joyable trip and a picnic with lots of good food and fun. Mrs. Del Combs, of Talmage, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart, of Duchesne, visited Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Stevens and family, of Vernal, have rented the Denzel Hemphill house and are now settled in their new residence. Mr. Stevens is employed at the oil well drillings drill-ings south of town. Mrs. Betty Harrison has purchased pur-chased the Don Felter house and moved her furnishings and family fam-ily from Roosevelt to their new home last week. Welcome, new resident. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gingell are rejoicing over the arrival of an infant son, born Monday, Aug. 16, at the Roosevelt Hospital. Hos-pital. The tiny boy weighs 5 lbs. 4 oz. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Pueblo and family, of Provo, visited his aunt, Mrs. Jennie Taylor, Sunday. Mr. Pueblo made his home here during his early youth and enjoyed greeting old i friends. Linda Jenson left Sunday for I Provo, where she will visit I Glenda Lind Ingalsbee, a daughter daugh-ter of one of Mrs. Wesley Jen-son's Jen-son's old friends. |
