Club members mem-bers participated in the annual encampment of the organization organiza-tion last week: Judy Bastian, Elaine Smithson, Wilma Dye, Linda Davis, Myrna Whiting, Connie Oberhansley, Roxanne ! Gardner, Anna Mitchell, Thelma : Mitchell, Daisy Mitchell, Sylvia Malnar, Pauline Whiting, Nita Bastian. The trip to Wolf Creek Pass was made in Elroy Halver-son's Halver-son's truck, driven by Curtis Bastian. Mrs. Annie Jorgensen, of Logan, spent last week here at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Bishop and Mrs. Richard Olsen. Salt Lake Citv visitors the fore part of the week were Mrs. George Leavitt and her daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Don Gardner and Mrs. Stephen Malnar. Mrs. Jay B. Horrocks and two daughters; of Salt Lake City visited at the Theron Horrocks residence last week. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Naef, of Bell Gardens, Calif., were weekend week-end visitors at the Loren Mills home. Mrs. Naef and Mr. Mills are sister and brother Rosanne Olsen spent the past week in Tremonton visiting relatives. rel-atives. Mrs. Lila McMullin has accepted ac-cepted a position in the Modern Drug at Roosevelt. Labor shortages Will not trouble Donald Jensen a few years from now he is raising his own farm help. Another son was added to the family on Aug. 13th. The new arrival is being welcomed by two brothers broth-ers and a sister. Mrs. Fred Zimmerman, of Dallas, Texas, arrived last week for a month's visit with her par- nets, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Dye spent last week 'in Salt Lake City, where Mrs. Dye underwent under-went an operation. Clifford Bastian made two trips to Salt Lake City last week to obtain building material for a new garage. Harvey Riggle spent last week in California, returning Saturday with his daughter, Melody Lynn, and his grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Williams, of Santa Ana. The little girl has spent the past six weeks in Santa Monica, visiting with . her aunt, Mrs. Nina Ludlow. Lionel and Neill Jensen attended at-tended the Jensen reunion, which was held in Provo Canyon Can-yon last Sunday. Mrs. Margaret Henderson and two children returned to their home in Salt Lake City last Saturday, after spending the past two weeks visiting relatives rela-tives here. SPENCER HOME HAS VARIOUS VISITORS The hospitality of the Deone Spencer home was enjoyed by several friends during the past weekend: Mr. and Mrs. Purcel Seeley, of Spanish Fork, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Tidwell, of Bountiful, were overnight guests on Saturday. As a pleasant surprise, sur-prise, came Mrs. Sam Ray, of Malta, Mont., with news of the splendid missionary work being done in that vicinity by the Spencers' son, Franklin. Mrs. Ray is a sister of Mrs. .Joe Yack, former Neola residents. Community Club Enjoys Films Films of the 1953 Rose Parade Par-ade and scenes from Georgia, taken by Mr. and Mrs. Dick Adams formed the entertainment entertain-ment at the monthly meeting of the Community Club, which was held at the Eileen LaRose home last Friday evening. The films were shown by Mrs. Rudy Krissman of Roosevelt. A delicious de-licious salad luncheon was served to twenty-five members by Mrs. LaRose and co-hostesses LaRene Bastian and Lena Daniels. Dan-iels. Mrs. Cla'ir Mills, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Mirl Jennings to' Levan, where they attended funeral fu-neral services for a relative, which was held last Monday. Attending the Masonic picnic, which was held at Merkley Park last Sunday, were: Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Riggle and daughter, Melody Lynn, Mrs. Sadie Blank, and Mrs. Williams, houseguest of the above families. Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Jensen attended the dance demonstration, demonstra-tion, presented by foreign students stu-dents from the B.Y.U., which was held in Randlett last Friday evening. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Dahl Gardner are rejoicing with them on the arrival of a new son, who made his adyent last week. The family is residing at their ranch above Lapoint during the summer months, where the young man will be made welcome wel-come by two sisters. |
