Show Clyde Johnson Family Moves To California Mr. and Mrs. Clyde L. Johnson John-son and family left Roosevelt this week to make their home in Los Altos, Calif. Mr. John son will be music instructor at the Junior- High School in Mountain View, located five miles south of Palo Alto. He will direct vocal work. Mr. Johnson has been the music instructor at Union High School since its opening three years ago, and prior to that taught music at Alterra School for five years and the Uintah High School for two years. Mr. Johnson returned to the Basin from Los Angeles in 1944. previous to which he had been a faculty member at the Roosevelt Roose-velt Elementary and High School for two years, where he taught vocal. Mrs. Johnson is also well known here, having served as the Duchesne County public health nurse for the past five years. The Johnsons will spend this week in Salt Lake City, where their son, Larry, will undergo an eye operation. They will then leave for Los Altos, where they have , a home rented. Mr. Johnson stated that he regrets leaving his friends and students and invites visitors from Roosevelt to call at their home when they are in California. Califor-nia. Their son, Larry, is thirteen years old, and their daughter, Rebecca, is nine years old. Replacing Mr. Johnson in the music department at Union High School will be Owen F. Burgener, who has been a music instructor in Carbon County for the past several years. He has directed music at the Helper Junior High School and has served as secondary music supervisor super-visor in the northern part of the county. |
