Show Jensen Resident Dies En Highway Occident Joy in a Jensen, Utah home over the arrival of a mother and her baby son from a nospital, Tuesday, was soon replaced with sadness as the father was killed in a truck accident near Victory Vic-tory Park. Austin Hugh Murray 25, died in the Roosevelt LDS Hospital at 2:10 a.m., Wednesday. He was injured Tuesday at 10 p.m. when the truck he was driving rolled twice, left U. S. Highway 40 and plumeted into Montez Creek, pinning him in the water. The irrigation canal is located about 4 miles east of Roosevelt. It was several minutes before Marvin Brown, Vernal, a passenger, pas-senger, and passersby could free him. Mr. Murray was revived at j the scene and taken to the hospital hos-pital where he died of head injuries. in-juries. Mr. Brown was uninjured. The accident occurred in Uintah Uin-tah County four miles east of Roosevelt. Mr. Murray's wife brought the couple's first son home from the hospital Tuesday, relatives said. Mr. Murray had a daughter daugh-ter by a previous marriage. Mr. Murray was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Vernal, a son of Andrew An-drew H. and Leora Dow Murray. Survived by widow, JoAnn Schanno Murray; parents, son, Steve; daughter, Debra Lynn, Vernal; grandmother, Mrs. Emma Em-ma E. Murray, Vernal; two brothers and two sisters. |
