Show Zallai-d Ellen Bracken Miss Betty Eldredge, who is in Cedar City this winter, spent the holidays at the home I of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Eldredge. S. B. Kettle was on the sick list one day last week. Mrs. Jesse Hullinger has been caring for the two small children chil-dren of Mrs. Leora Hullinger, of Vernal, while their mother was in the Roosevelt hospital with a new son. The M-Men and Gleaners held their fireside chat at the home of Mrs, Fred Cook Sunday Sun-day evening. Mrs. Davis Morrill and daughters, daugh-ters, Barbara and Shirley, were callers at the home of Mrs. Morrill's daughter, Mrs, Vaughn Simper, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wis-combe Wis-combe went to Salt Lake City Friday to visit their son, Raymond, Ray-mond, who is confined to the Veterans hospital, as a result of a tractor accident just before be-fore Christmas, which injured his leg and foot. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Smith and daughter, Moana, of White-rocks, White-rocks, attended church in Ballard Bal-lard Sunday, and also visited their daughter, Mrs. Wilbur Par-rish. Par-rish. Mrs. Olen Ferryman substituted substi-tuted for Mrs. Bert Burgess at the Ballard school two days last week. Sunday School faculty meeting meet-ing was held Wednesday evening' eve-ning' of last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines. The various classes were promoted in Sunday School on Sunday. Mrs. Wilson Gutzman, of Ft Duchesne, taught school at Al terra part of last week, substituting substi-tuting for Lee Larsen. Mr. Lar-sen, Lar-sen, his parents and a brother and sister were in a car wreck at Wells, Nevada on Dec. 31 enroute from a vacation trip to California. Mrs. Ada Pickup, of Rand-lett, Rand-lett, spent one day last week visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Kettle. The Y.W.M.I.A. officers were hosts at a holiday party honoring hon-oring the Y.M M.I.A. officers and teachers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines on Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, Jan. 3. Games were played and twenty people enjoyed a plate lunch. The Explorers and the Mia-Maids Mia-Maids met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd Sunday evening for a get together. E. C. Coston and grandson, Lyle Pickup, of Randlett, returned re-turned from Los Angeles, Cal. last Thursday after a two-week visit. While there they attended the Rose Bowl parade at Pasadena. Pasa-dena. Mrs. Angus Anderson and Mrs. Raymond Eldredge were sustained as new Sunday school teachers, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Molyneux, of Salt Lake City, announce the arrival of a baby girl born at the L.D.S. hospital Jan. 1. She was the third New Year baby to be born in Salt Lake. Mrs. Molyneux was the former Ruth Stolla, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Eric Stolla. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Bingham, Bing-ham, of Salt Lake City, brought Charles Bingham, who has been in the L.D.S. hospital for sometime, some-time, home to spend Sunday with Mrs. Bingham and their son. They returned to Salt Lake City Sunday evening. Charles will remain there for some time to be near medical care. Other callers at the Bingham home Sunday, were Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Bingham and family, of Vernal. . The baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Parrish was blessed at Fast meeting Sunday. The Alterra basketball boys played with the Tabiona team on their floor Friday evening1, the winners by five points. Mrs. Ned Gines has been sustained sus-tained as a counselor to Mrs. Wendel Johnson in the Y.W.M. I. A., replacing Mrs. Barbie Buchanan. |
