Show r.lyton Mrs. Grace Dalgleish Former Bishop and Mrs. Syerl Dennis entertained Wednesday at a lawn party in honor of the present Myton ward bishopric and all former members, and their wives. A program and games furnished entertainment, after which a delicious buffet supper was served around a bon fire. Enjoying the occasion were Bishop and Mrs. Glenn Gilbert, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Aften Richens, Mr. and Mrs. Orval Gillen, Robert Rob-ert Hatch, Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Perry, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Liddell, Mr. and Mrs. Herald Crapo, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Elder, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Snyder, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold El-dredge, El-dredge, of Roosevelt. Mr. El-dredge, El-dredge, a former Myton bishop, is now Roosevelt Stake Patriarch. Patri-arch. Mrs. Ashel Bingham, of Salt Lake City, is visiting her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Lavor Dennis, and family. LaRae Morrill was hostess at a slumber party Thursday evening. Her guests included Clarinda Burris and Betty Burgess, Bur-gess, members of the Lark girls of the LDS Primary, and Inez Burgess and Ilene Morrill, Bluebird Blue-bird girls. A sunrise breakfast was enjoyed by the group Friday Fri-day morning at the Morrill home. Visitors at the Wesley Jenson home are Sally Ann, Freddie and Allen Jenson, who arrived from Salt Lake to visit their uncle and aunt, and to be with their father, Ralph Jenson, who is working here. Miss Kathleen Lafferty, of Cleveland, O., was a guest last week of Miss LaVora Murray. The girls enjoyed a trip Thursday Thurs-day to the Dinosaur monument. Neil Murray left Monday to accept a position at Moon Lake. Mrs. Murray and baby accompanied accom-panied him to Mt. Emmons to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rogers. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bunce, of Martinez, Calif., in Utah to attend the Babcock family reunion re-union last week in Salt Lake, arrived in Myton Thursday to visit relatives and friends. They extended their stay to be present pres-ent at the funeral of James Wilson, Wil-son, Mrs. Bunce's brother-in-law. Clifford Adams, a former Myton My-ton resident now residing at Fargo, Okla., is enjoying a short vacation at the ranch home of Mr." and Mrs. Matt Uresk. Mrs. Jack Gingell and her daughter, Miss Lois Davis, of Salt Lake City, returned Friday from a week's vacation trip to Yellowstone national park. Miss Davis returned to Salt Lake Saturday. Sat-urday. Mr. and Mrs. John Krissman, of Helper, spent Friday and Saturday with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Krissman and family. They all attended the Bastian reunion Saturday in Uinta canyon. can-yon. Returning to Helper Saturday Sat-urday evening, they were accompanied ac-companied by their grandson, Rudy Krissman, Jr., who will spend some time there. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Alexander and young daughter will leave soon to make their home in Richfield. The Conoco station, which Mr. Alexander operated for about 2 years is now managed man-aged by Mont Killian, of Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lewis and children, of Vernal, were Sunday visitors at the J. Wesley Wes-ley Jenson home. Visitors last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Morrill were Mr. and Mrs. Will-ard Will-ard Day, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Percy Stewart and family, and Mrs. James Quinn and children, of Jensen. Mrs. Kenneth Tinsley and son, Tommie, arrived Friday from Los Angeles to spend the remainder of the summer with her mother, Mrs. Bliss Lott. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Preece enjoyed en-joyed a short visit from Mr. and Mrs. Clair Preece, who arrived ar-rived Aug-. 9 from Nevada to attend at-tend funeral services for Mrs. Lafe Richardson, of Vernal. The deceased was a sister of the Preece brothers. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd and children, Nancy, Phillip and Alan, and Don Harris were in Salt Lake Sunday, where Nancy Nan-cy joined Mr. and Mrs, Harold Haslam on a vacation trip to Twin Falls, Ida., and a visit with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Ceder-quist. Ceder-quist. The other members of the party returned Sunday. Miss Jean Walker, a former Myton resident, arrived Friday evening from Salt Lake to spend the weekend with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish. Dal-gleish. Miss Walker went on to San Francisco Monday, where she will spend the balance of her vacation. - Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Davenport Daven-port have received announcement announce-ment of the marriage of their son, James H., to Miss Shirley Terry, of North Hollywood, Cal. The couple, married Aug. 11 at Boulder City, Nev., will make their home in North Hollywood. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Peterson are Mrs. Peterson's uncle, Jacob EhrgQtt, and her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Martin, all of whom arrived Monday from Brooklyn, N, V, Mr, and Mrs, James Dalgleish and Miss Jean Walker visited Sunday afternoon in Duchesne with the Ed Harts. Ted Cooper and son, Franklin, Frank-lin, left Monday for a short visit with relatives in Salt Lake. |
