Approximately one hundred -K- from Venial, Jensen, My-?r My-?r Duchesne and Salt Lake & enjoyed a relaxing' afternoon after-noon of mixed games, and a delicious de-licious dinner. ' Led C Ferron, Dsrrell Walk- Harvey Riggle, Bob Ferron and Vean Bair were in charge of arrangements. TUESDAY BRIDGE Gladioli and roses added a festive touch Tuesday evening "hen Mrs. Lynn Orser entertained enter-tained members of Tuesday Bridge club at her home. I A tasty dessert luncheon was featured, with covers laid for , sixteen guests. f Following luncheon, tables j were arranged for bridge, with l prizes going to Mrs. Orson Stev-iens, Stev-iens, Mrs. Robert Huish, and j Mis. Parley Rawlings. i CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY i Mrs. Calvin E.Gibbs, of Vernal was guest of honor Wednesday evening at a steak fry at the ; Uintah Power plant park in Uinta canyon. The occasion commemorated Mrs. Gibbs' on her birthday anniversary. Gathered 1o extend best wishes wish-es to Mrs. Gibbs were Mr. and iMrs. Duane Hacking, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Alexander, and Mr Gibbs. j NIMBLE THIMBLE CLUB I President Edna Burr took charge of the meeting. The rest ! of the time was spent in sewing . and making plans for the camp. .Louella Christolferson, Reporter I jAUNTY JEANS Wednesday evening all the members of the Jaunty Jeans ' 4-H club were present for a t.usiness meeting. Thursday a lot of work was accomplished. V e r n a Freston served refreshments. July 27 three members met at Verna Freston's home for a club meeting. Friday evening the club held I a pot-luck swimming party, af-' af-' ter which we attended a show. The Jaunty Jeans 4-H Club was called to order by Inez Houtz at the home of Verna Freston. After the business was taken care of we accomplished a lot while sewing. The recreation part of club was spent in dancing danc-ing and swimming. -Our next meeting will be Aug. 9 at 2 p. m. August 8-9-10 were probably the busiest days the Jaunty Jeans have had this year. On the 8th the whole club paid a visit to the doctor, dentist den-tist and Wing's Shoe store. The doctor and dentist were very pleased with the group's condition. con-dition. When it came to our feet, however, most of us were wearing shoes to small for our big feet. They gave us many pointers on how to get a good fit when buying shoes. Each of us was benefited. Early Aug. 10 we put our plans for a float into effect. Although our float wasn't the best we were pleased with, our efforts. Our next meeting will hold much planning for our Mother's Tea. Ruth Burr, reporter |
