Show School Enrollment Falls from Lost Year's Figure Enrollment in Duchesne Coun-' ty schools as of Oct. 1 is listed at 2165. Last year at the end of the first six-week period of the new term, the enrollment was shown as 2225. The year prior to that, total enrollment in the district was 2285. In releasing the enrollment figures, Supt. Rowan C. Stutz pointed out that 95 pupils and students out of the 1939 total enrolled in all schools except Union, are Indians. Indian enrollment en-rollment in the various schools are listed as 21 at Altamont, 8 art Duchesne, 19 at Myton, 11 at Neola, 31 at Roosevelt, and 4 at Tabiona. Total enrollment by school is listed as follows, with the 1953 enrollment figures shown in brackets: Altamont, 434 (439); Duchesne, Du-chesne, 344 (205 at elementary, 156 at high school); Myton, 180 (214); Neola, 115 (116); Roosevelt, Roose-velt, 655 (358 at elementary, 284 at junior high); Tabiona, 167 (172); Talmage, 44 (42); Duchesne County students at Union High, 226.(239). Grade enrollment of the 1939 is shown as 237 for 1st; 219 for. 2nd; 152 for 3rd; 178 for 4th 185 for 5th, 199 for 6th, 202 for 7th, 171 for 8th, 190 for 9th, 74 for 10th, 81 for 11th and 51 for 12th. Union High enrollment by grades for Duchesne County students is listed, in addition as: 83 for 10-th, 86 for 11th, and 57 for 12th. |
