Show : H National Art Week To Ce Observed In Uintah Basin Joe Norton, manager of the Norton Sign Co., of Roosevelt, recently was appointed to serve as chairman for Duchesne and Uintah counties for American Ameri-can Art Week, which is scheduled sched-uled for Nov. 1 to 7. The appointment ap-pointment of Mr. Norton was made by Lynn Fausett, state director, of Salt Lake City. According to Mr. Fausett, native na-tive Utah artist, who judged the 1953 UBIC art exhibits, the purpose of Art Week is to attempt at-tempt to develop a greater appreciation ap-preciation for art among the people of the Basin. Among the things Mr. Norton Nor-ton hopes to bring to the Basin will be the Federated Artists Traveling Exhibit, which will be hung at Union High School during the month of November. This exhibit will consist of at least 40 paintings and will be open to the public. Similar exhibits ex-hibits are 'being planned all over the state.
