Show Missionary Home From Japan; Reports Growth Elder Jeremiah Clark, of Gusher, returned last week from Japan, where he has labored labor-ed the past three years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Japanese mission as a representative of the Moffat ward. In making a brief report of his missionary activities last Sunday at the monthly priesthood priest-hood leadership meeting and to his quorum, the 162nd Quorum of Seventy, he told of the i growth of the church in Japan. Elder Clark said that when he went there three years ago, less than 100 natives were members of the LDS church, and now the numbers exceed 600. The young people are accepting the message mes-sage of Mormonism and become very faithful members of the church. When asked about the attitude atti-tude of the people politically he reported the people generally, had a fine attitude toward the United States. However, the actions ac-tions of the army of occupation made them resent the men in the service whose moral conduct con-duct was unbecoming to a Christian Chris-tian or an American. |
