Show SEASONAL CHATTER By Sugar 'N Spice (Crowded Out Last Week) MAKE A BRIGHT-COLORED CIRCLE slightly larger than your favorite pie tin, either in enamel on your pastry board or in indelible ink on your pastry pas-try cancas. Roll your pie crust to fit circle and it will always be just right size for the tin. WE WERE INFORMED THAT we really slipped up last week in handing out the orchids con-cering con-cering Santa's entrance, etc. Although Al-though the beautiful tree was mentioned, we unintentioally forgot to explain that the American Amer-ican Legion was responsible for this part of the community Xmas and we do appologize. Getting a tree that size is perhaps per-haps the biggest job of all and we do commend the boys for their efforts. WHILE IN THE CITY OFFICE OF-FICE the other day we had the opportunity of witnessing an 87-year-old Indian apply for a driver's license. He was cute as could be and seemed much spry-er spry-er than 87 years old. Didn't hear if he passed the test or not, but rather imagine he did. PUT LAYER OF MARSH-MALLOWS MARSH-MALLOWS in bottom of pumpkin pump-kin pie, then filling marsh-mallows marsh-mallows will come to top and make nice topping. STUNNING IN A NEW GUN-METAL GUN-METAL sheath dress with halter top was RUTH MONTGOMERY. With it she wore matching gun-metal gun-metal slippers. IF YOU HAVEN'T DRIVEN by the Roosevelt Junior High this week, make it a must before Christmas from the highway you can see the stained glass windows, which reminds one of a Cathedral. The large angel in the center window and the stars in the rosetta windows on either side make an impressive scene. Congratulations, students. SPIED SHERENE HENRIE at the dance in a pink and grey frock designed with pink pleated inset at skirt. Very becoming. THOUGHT DON TRUMAN was receiving some of the Indian In-dian payment money when we saw him picking up twenty dollar dol-lar bills in front of the drug store, Wednesday but on further fur-ther investigation the bills turned out to be play money which some youngster evidently had scattered from a Monopoly game he had helped himself to at the store. SEEMED GOOD TO SEE DALE LARSEN home for a visit. vis-it. Saw Dale and Renae over at the dance Saturday night. Renae Re-nae looked real pert in her red quilted skirt and contrasting' black jersey blouse with red trim. THE ED LABRUMS are improving im-proving the appearance of their home just finished laying fancy brick around the house and porch indications are that they will have planter boxes. AFTER THE OPPORTUNITY of seeing the University play, "The Taming of the Shrew," we feel our city should have more of that type entertainment. entertain-ment. Compliments to the presidency presi-dency of the LDS church, who was responsible for getting the play here. Hope more like it will be presented in the future. TO HAVE GOOD POPPING corn ready, place the corn in a jar or can with a spool that has been soaked in salt water overnight and seal or keep can covered. The dampness from the spool affords the needed moisture mois-ture for the popcorn. |
