Show IVIIfTEROCKS Madeena Smith Funeral Held For Mrs. Wanda Taylor Funeral services for Wanda LaRose Taylor were held at the Whiterocks LDS chapel Tuesday, Tues-day, Dec. 15th with Bishop Gilbert Gil-bert Ellingford conducting. The Whierocks ladies chorus sang, 'In The Garden," James Harvery, gave the opening prayer pray-er Esther Merkley and Migion Harvey sang, "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose." Speakers were Ivan Ross, of Tridell and Albert Harris, of Roosevelt, and Bishop Ellingsford. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Merkley sang, "The Old Rugged Cross. The closing song1, "Before Thee Lord I Bow My Head," was sung by the chorus, and the closing prayer was by Virgil Robb. Interment was in the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery with James E. Bacon dedicating the grave. Those attending from outside points were Grandma Christen-sen Christen-sen and Millie Heggli, of California; Cali-fornia; Leona Jensen, of Salt Lake City, and Marion Christen- sen, of Montana. Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Brough visited Friday with Mrs. Martha Franks, Tangi Wapsock and Mrs. Manning, who are ill at the Roosevelt Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Grant are the parents of a baby boy, born Monday at the Roosevelt Hospital. Marion Christensen. of Montana, Mon-tana, visited with his brother, Marinus Christensen, and his son, Paul, during the week. ELDERS HAVE PARTY The 4th Quorum of Elders held a party at the Whiterocks ward house Friday evening. Games, square dancing and a pot-luck lunch were enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Don Simmons, of Tridell, visited on Thursday at the home of Francis Crozier. Mrs. Verna Hoops and children visited in Tridell on Sunday at the William Harvey home. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Pike, of Roosevelt, visited at the home of Orvil Hoops over the weekend. week-end. Word was received from Gene Walkup, who is in Germany, Ger-many, that his leg is healing fine now. He will soon be able to have the cast removed. |
