Show Party Given For Two Servicemen A welcome-home party was given Friday evening in the chapel in honor of two U. S. Navy boys. Jim Neumeyer and Dale Hays. A program was presented followed fol-lowed by a dance. Ice cream and cookies were served to a large i crowd. Jim Neumeyer has been on the Korean battlefront and is home on a 30-day furlough. Dale Hays has a 10-day furlough. fur-lough. He is now visiting in Los Angeles with his father. Le-Land Le-Land Hays, before returning to his base at San Diego, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Angus visited Mr. Angus' sister, Mrs. Edward Talisferro, of Rock Springs, Wyo , recently. Joleen Swain, of Steamboat Springs, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Swain. Mr. and Mrs. Ercil Palmer, of Pocatello, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. Hank Swain and family fam-ily of Roosevelt, were guests last Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Or-ville Swain. Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Harrison Har-rison and family, Mrs. Margaret Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Horrocks and family, of Bennett, Ben-nett, attended the Murray reunion re-union at Merkley Park. Vernal, Wednesday. The program in meeting Sunday Sun-day evening was given by the genealogy committee, with Ru-lon Ru-lon Rasmussen conducting. Speakers were Wallace Johnson, John-son, of Vernal, Bishop J. L. Walker, and Rulon Rasmussen. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Sander-man Sander-man and family, of Salt Lake City, spent a few days with Mrs. Sanderman's mother, Mrs. Caroline Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Yack and sons, of Neola, visited Mrs Yack's mother, Caroline Thompson, Thomp-son, recently. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Bigelow and Wendell Glines, of Salt Lake City, visited Mr. and Mrs. Thurmer Rasmussen and friends during the week. They attended Ithe funeral services for Dallas Vern Roberts in Vernal Tuesr day, Mr. and Mrs. Merrell Rasmussen Ras-mussen are the proud grandparents grand-parents of a daughter born July 5 to Mr. and Mrs. Jay Harvey, at the Roosevelt hospital. Mr. and Mrs. George Nyberg are the grandparents of a daughter daugh-ter born July 5 at the Roosevelt hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hoops. This is the Hoops third daughter. Perry Bingham has returned to Wendover, after visiting here with his mother, Mrs. Wilma Bingham, and with a brother, Dale, who is home on a 10-day furlough. |
