Show SEASONAL CHATTER By Sugar 'N Spice IT'S EASY TO CLEAN your brush and comb in soapy water spiked with a dash of amonio . . . And here's how to make your hair smell sweet: Mix a little cologne with water when you set your hair. IT WASN'T FLYING SAUCERS SAU-CERS we saw at the Field House last Saturday night in Salt Lake (just the buttons popping pop-ping off the mayor's coat) as his son, Jack, was called to- the center of the floor to receive his award as a selection for the All-Church M Mem basketball team. And, by the way, he looked look-ed plenty handsome in his light tweed sport jacket. Of course, Mrs. Mayor, and Nancy, Jack's fiance, were elated over the tournament climax also. SHERRY AND CAROLINE Dennis were a picture of the breath of Spring when we encountered en-countered them in Roosevelt Saturday, both wearing white sheer summer blouses and pretty pret-ty pastel skirts. CELLOPHANE TAPE IS a marvelous kitchen accessory. Lots of uses for it! Use it to mend small tears on cook books, plastic aprons, food pages, etc. Recipe cards will last longer when edged with it. Easy too, to tape shelf paper in place. CURIOUS AS TO THE CROWD at the Roosevelt stake house this week. Inquiry informed in-formed us that the church is having its face lifted painting, 1 scrubbing, etc. Seems all organizations or-ganizations have turned out to give a hand. COMPLIMENTS TO ELLEN I RAWLINGS as the BPW district director. Throug'h her untiring i efforts a new BPW Club was ! organized in Duchesne last j week. Understand the new pres-I pres-I ident is Dorothea Allred. GENEIL PETERSON has a j r?al cute pair of gold earrings, , which have been the cause of , much comment the past week. Would like a glimpse of them hear they were a gift from her mother. - SOMEONE SAID that George ; Hacking couldn't tear himself away from the M Men basket-I basket-I ball tournament in Salt Lake. Seems he dashed home in be-! be-! tween games to check up on his I family and business, but still j didn't miss any of the games, j Must have had a ringside seat, i George. i IT SEEMED GOOD TO once I again renew acquaintances with Anna ' Stark, who was in town for the BPW banquet. Formerly Former-ly of Duchesne- County, she is now Primary Supervisor in Beaver. She looked very striking strik-ing in the red dress she was wearing with the clever quilted half-collar. ASKING THERON LEAVITT what he enjoyed most about his trip east to the school board convention, he replied, "The Stewardesses on the planes." DOC STRINGHAM is sporting sport-ing a pretty shiner. We thought perhaps he had met up with a rolling pin, but he convinced us he came in contact with something else playing basketball. basket-ball. CALIFORNIA BOUND were the Pat Markeys following the doc's orders, they are taking a month's rest. I LOVELY IN HER NEW blue I coat with grey fur collar is ' Elaine Hullinger. The style is most becoming to her. NOTICED THAT NEW summer sum-mer cotton skirts were on swing at the basketball game at Union last Friday. Imagine there will be more displayed at the Apron and Overall Dance the seniors are sponsoring Friday. Sounds like fun. CHILL MARCH WINDS are rough on legs as well as your |
