Show Relief Society Presents Program The Relief Society put on the Sunday night program at the ward chapel. The theme was, "An Invitatiorrto Happiness." Speakers were Mrs. Blanchard, Myra Mitchell and Donna Brown, a choral reading was presented by Montana Johnson, Verda Blanchard, Eva Johnson, Effie Taylor and Ina Lee Shaw. Mrs. Jess Allen represented the stake Relief Society board. The Fourth Quorum of Elders held a party in the Montwel chapel Monday night. It was well attended by both Montwel and Neola wards. A program, square dancing and refreshments refresh-ments were enjoyed. Mutual was held in Roosevelt Tuesday night in connection with the Indian conference, where Montwel ward put on the floor show with the Montwel dancing group participating Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pace and Dawn and Aaron Pace, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Crow accompanied by Danny Gardner of Vernal, attended at-tended funeral services for Freeman Free-man Pace in Heber on Tuesday. He was Dan Pace's father. Pvt. and Mrs. Lynn E. Mower left Tuesday for Richmond, Utah to visit friends and relatives rela-tives for a few days. Bettie Mower went with them to Log an to visit her sister, Marilyn, who is attending the U.S.A.C. Mr. and Mrs. Marvel Taylor and son, Ronald, visited relatives rela-tives and friends in Garfield and Salt Lake City over the weekend. week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Wm.- H. Blanchard Blanch-ard visited the past week in Ogden, Bountiful, Salt Lake and Provo with friends and relatives. rela-tives. Mrs. Wm. I.- Blanchard and two small children accompanied accom-panied them to Pleasant Grove, where she spent the week visiting visit-ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Roberts, former Montwel residents. Mr. and Mrs. James E. Hamb-lin, Hamb-lin, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Brown, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson attended the High Priests party at Roosevelt on Thursday night, after which the Hamblins and Browns went on to Ioka to the Gold and Green Ball. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Thompson, of California, are visiting his parents, Mr. i and Mrs. Frank Thompson, for a while. Ted Nelson, who is attending the BYU at Provo, was home visiting over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Boren's baby boy was blessed and named nam-ed Jimmy, and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Boren's baby girl was given the name of Sharrol Ann in Fast Meeting, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. George Hunt and family have moved back from Parke, Arizona, where they have been spending the winter. Remo Hamblin took his sister, sis-ter, Mrs! Nila Drapper, and two children to Salt Lake City, where she will make her home She has been spending the past few months with her mother, Mrs. Mary Hamblin. The mother and two other sisters, Mrs. Le tah Woodward and Mrs. Lora Hullinger went with them to Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Brown were Salt Lake City visitors during the past week. |
