Show GOP Reorganizes Party fn Duchesne County Ron Wiscombe, native son of j Duchesne County former resident resi-dent of Roosevelt and son of the late Jack Wiscombe, delivered the keynote address at the Republican Re-publican reorganization convention conven-tion for Duchesne County Monday Mon-day at Duchesne. He is now a resident of Bountiful and county chairman for Davis County. Two other up-state GOP leaders lead-ers were on hand to offer encouragement en-couragement and advice to the local members of the party. Delegates from each of Duchesne Du-chesne County's 21 voting districts dis-tricts convened at the . court house at 2 p. m-. Monday, where they reelected J. V.-- McLea, of Roosevelt, as their county, chairman; Mrs. Manila Madsen, Duchesne, vice chairwoman; and Kenneth i A y c o c k. Roosevelt, state committeemen were se lected when Horace L. Allred, Roosevelt, and Mrs. Pearl Mc-Conkie, Mc-Conkie, Roosevelt, were named to represent the county on the state central committee. Byron Collett and Mrs. Helen Mott are the retiring members of the state group. Eleven members of the Republican Re-publican Party were named as the delegates to attend the forthcoming forth-coming state conventions. They are: Mr. McLea, Mrs. Madsen, Dr. Paul Stringham, Lyrad Mc-Conkie, Mc-Conkie, Clinton Mickelson, Mrs. Dorothea Allred. Mrs. Helen Mott, Lionel Jensen, William Fieldsted, William Brotherson and Louis Reese. Also selected were two representatives rep-resentatives from each of the voting districts in the county, who, along with the 'county officers of-ficers constitute the central committee. com-mittee. Other party leaders from Salt Lake and vicinity who attended the convention that was presided pre-sided over by Mr. McLea were Golden Allen, from Davis County, Coun-ty, who is an announced candidate candi-date for the office of state treasurer; trea-surer; and Joe Nelson, Senator Wallace Bennett's personal representative, rep-resentative, who brought greetings greet-ings from Utah's junior senator. He urged the reelection of Senator Sen-ator Arthur V. Watkins and ad monished the people of Duchesne Du-chesne county to work for a greater vote in the coming election. elec-tion.
