Show Armistice Program Presented By Legion Post An Armistice Day program, commemorating the 35th' anniversary anni-versary of the signing of the armistice at the close of World War I was sponsored by the American Legion, Wm. R. Sands Post No. 5, Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 11 o'clock at the Myton Elementary School. All students of the school and a large crowd of Legion and Auxiliary Aux-iliary members and friends were in attendance to enjoy the following fol-lowing program: Opening, Principal Prin-cipal Milton Nielson; program conducted by Post Commander Milton Lott; opening prayer, Chaplain Lynn Dean; vocal solo, Mrs. Marge Dennis, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. O. A. Dart; address, B. K. Farnsworth, Americanism chairman, Department of Utah; vocal solo, Lowell Babcock, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Dart; address, add-ress, Mayor W. H. Linck; "Star Spangled Banner," by audience; closing prayer. Mr. Linck. A special guest in attendance was Mrs. Ruby Farnsworth, Department De-partment president, who attend, ed programs in Myton, Roosevelt Roose-velt and Vernal, visiting Auxiliary Aux-iliary units while here. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Courtland went to Salt Lake City, Thursday Thurs-day on a short business trip. They were accompanied by Mrs. Fred Todd, who enjoyed a day of shopping while there. |
