Show Altonah Mrs. Ethel Beebs Mr. and Mrs. Fay Prows, of Salt Lake City were here over the weekend. The new Relief Society officers of-ficers gave a party for the outgoing out-going officers in connection with the Literature meeting on Tuesday. A short program and refreshments were enjoyed by 15 members. A gift of apprecia-. tion was presented to the former officers. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Corbin were in Roosevelt Tuesday while Mrs. Corbin had dental work done. . Mrs. Elva Snyder was called to Salt Lake Sunday by the death of her 8-year-old granddaughter. Jo Ann Snyder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Snyder, former residents of Altonah. Mr. and Mrs. Jcrald Jacobsen attended the funeral services on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ty Kolb, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Eowden, Mrs. Vendetta Clark and Mrs. Ethei Beebe were in Duchesne Tuesday. Tues-day. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Johanson, of Haggerman, Idaho, visited their daughter, Mrs. Dallas Ames, last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Mohl-man Mohl-man and Mrs. Margaret Max-field, Max-field, stake MIA officers, attended at-tended Mutual in Bluebell Tuesday Tues-day night. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones. Mrs. Fern Miller, Mrs. Mary Carroll and Clyde Lambert attended at-tended the American Legion and Auxiliary banquet at Roosevelt Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Page are the proud parents of a baby girl born November 30 at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Shiner received word of the birth of a grandchild on December 1. a girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Levear Timothy, of Altamont. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Maxfield returned Thursday from Cascade Locks, Oregon. They were accompanied ac-companied by their daughter, Mrs. Millie Besst, and her two sons who will remain for a 2-. week visit. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith have received word of the bi.rth of a son to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Catcott, of China Lake, Calif. Mrs. Catcott is the former Miss LaRae- Smith. Mrs. Von Timothy and son. Jay Vor, of Bonanza, arrived Thursday Thurs-day to visit her father, W. A. Maxfield, who is ill. Jay Vor returned re-turned to resume his studies at Altamont after spending Thanksgiving Thanks-giving with his parents. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Barrett was blessed in Sacrament meeting Sunday and given the name Kathryn Ileene. |
