Show Union High School Plans Discussed At Salt Lake Meet Members of the joint school board which has jurisdiction over the proposed Union high school met in Salt Lake Wednesday Wednes-day with Dr. Willard Beatty, director di-rector of education for the Bureau Bu-reau of Indian Affairs. Purpose of the conference was to discuss changes in the plans for the school building. The conferees from the joint board included Russell Todd, chairman; H. M. Lundell, superintendent super-intendent of the Uintah school district, and secretary of the Union high board; Ralph Sid-doway, Sid-doway, Uintah school board member; W. J. Bond, superintendent superin-tendent of Duchesne county schools and Edgar Holder, Du-chsne Du-chsne county school board member. mem-ber. The conference was originally planned for Roosevelt, but unsettled un-settled weather conditions, plus limited time prevented Dr. Beatty from making the Uintah Basin trip, Dr. E, Allen Bateman, state superintendent of public instruction, instruc-tion, met with the group on Wednesday. Before returning to the Basin the joint board will confer with Fletcher and Fletcher, Flet-cher, architects, regarding the changes in plans. |
