Show Ballard Ellen Bracken Mrs. T. A. Warthen has been ill with flu the past week. A group of ladies met Tuesday and took off a quilt for Mrs. Julia Kettle. Mrs. Max Knarr and son arc visiting at the home of Mrs. Knarr's sister, Mrs. Lynn Timothy, Tim-othy, in Maeser, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Jenkins at-tened at-tened the wedding and reception recep-tion of Mrs. Jenkins' brother, Jack Giles, in Myton last week. Bill Jenkins was called to the bedside of his mother in Idaho, reaching there just before her death. Her funeral services were held in Vernal on November 30. Those who visited at the Jenkins home following the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. David Jenkins and family, of Orcm, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jenkins and family, of Bluebell. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mowrey and son and Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Waite of Salt Lake visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Angus Anderson. An-derson. Mr. Mowrey and Mrs. Waite are Mrs. Anderson's nephew ne-phew and neice. Mr. and Mrs. Ercil Johnson have a new daughter, born at the Roosevelt hospital Friday evening. Myrtle Collins was on the sick list Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peel of the Stake Sunday School board were Ballard visitors Sunday morning. Ray Clark, son of Alva Clark, cut his hand quite badly during his shop class at Alterra high, and was taken to the hospital or medical attention. Colleen Robison, of Randlett, spent the - weekend with her grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Jen-.kins. Jesse Hullmger left Friday with the boys basketball team and coach Tommy Fullmer. Alden White has been working work-ing in. Vernal for the past week. The band concert at Alterra Friday was poorly attended by the parents. Mr. Edward Mecham and Mr. and Mrs. Sweat, of Fruitland called at the Angus Anderson home to announce the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Mechajn's daughter, born at the Roosevelt hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Mecham were former Ballard residents. This is their first child. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Haynes and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cook, of Taber, Alberta, Canada, were g'uests of Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Brighton on Sunday and Monday. Mon-day. Mrs. Haynes is Mrs. Brighton's Brigh-ton's sister. They arc enroutc to Los Angeles to visit Mrs. Haynes Brother. Delbert Robison and son, Don, are working in the Salt Lake area. Rex Winn, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Winn was painfully, pain-fully, but not seriously, injured last week when he caught his fingers in the wringcrof a washing wash-ing machine. |
