Show 1 H jfr. and Mrs.Lavvrence Shu-bert Shu-bert and son of Texas visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Jus- lice during the week. They left Monday for Salt Lake City where they have employment. Mrs. Alice Dingman of Los Angeles, California visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Labrum during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hartle were visitors in Salt Lake City on Wednesday. His sister, Mrs. Reva Hall and daughter, Carol Jean of Bennett accompanied them. Ina Sweatman arrived home (Wednesday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Sweatman at Deep Creek. She has spent the past 2 years nursing in a Texas hospital. Jolenc Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Cook had the misfortune to fall from a tree Tuesday, breaking her colar bone. It was necessary to take her to Vernal for treatment. j Frank Glines of Nevada and Carl Roberts of Vernal, who is home on furlough from the navy where ho has spent the past 2 years, visited at the home of Thurmer Rasmussen Thursday. Lucile Merkley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Golden Merkley of Salt Lake City and Lorna Bige-low Bige-low who has had employment in Salt Lake City the past summer were home visiting hex parents, Mr, and Mrs. Charles Bigelow during the week. They left Monday Mon-day morning for Provo where Lorna will attend the B Y U again this winter. Mr. and Mrs. George Hackford received word that their son, George of the Navy, who has been stationed at San Diego, has arrived overseas and was fine. Mr. and Mrs. Orin Swain of Price were here on Thursday on their way to Vernal to visit her father. Mason Lyman, who has been seriously ill there. The Swains were former residents of Lapoint. Weston Justice and family of Spokane, Washington, were in Lapoint during the week. He has been transferred from Spokane to the Weber college at Ogden to teach Air craft. They were former residents of Lapoint. Darrell and Orville Swain and Bert Swain of Roosevelt were called to the bed side of their mother, Mrs. Abner Swain at the hospital in Price during the week. Her condition is reported about the same at this writing. Mrs. Ruland Rasmussen was a patient at the Valley Hospital in Vernal the past week. Loyal Cox spent the week find in Sandy visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Cox, His wife accompanied him home after af-ter visiting there the, past 10 days. Dorothy Caldwell entertained her 4-H club girls at ,a weinie roast Friday evening on the Lapoint La-point hill. George and Raymond Bigelow made a trip to Salt Lake City during the week bringing back a load of peaches. ' Mr. and Mrs. Net Blackburn of Vernal visited at the home of J Rile Blackburn Sunday. - Willis Abbegglen, son' of Mr-and Mr-and Mrs. Lawrence Abbegglen is home on- a 15-day furlough from the army. He has been in (the service 3V years and is sta- i tioned at. Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Harrison Harri-son left Sunday night for Salt Lake City to take their 3 week old baby for medical treatment. While threshing at the Rex Taylor farm, his stacks caught fire and burned up about 600 bushel of grain. |
