Show Montwel-Monarch Mrs. E. Brown Melvin Mower, newly appointed appoin-ted deputy assessor, started assessing as-sessing this district Monday. Sleigh riding and skating were the main attractions on Saturday afternoon when the Boy Scouts, assisted by Dan Pace and Harvey Har-vey Adams, entertained the Bee Hive girls. After the day's e-vents e-vents a chili supper was served at the home of Dan Pace. Bishop and Mrs. Joel Parry were Sunday guests at the home of Art Brown. A large number of people attended at-tended the boxing bouts in Roosevelt Thursday night. Gwenna Boren, of Vernal, spent the weekend with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Boren. A number of little folks enjoyed en-joyed themselves at a coasting party Saturday at the home of Rosalee Brown. Weiners and marshmallows were roasted. Mr, and Mrs.'sJames Hamblin are getting a good start toward centennial beautification. They are removing some of the big old trees in front of their home. This will be a major factor in improving the appearance of the community, as well as the appearance ap-pearance of their residence. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crow visited in Neola Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Call and sons, and Donald Anderton, of Price, were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown. Mrs. Call and Mrs. Brown are sisters, and Donald is a nephew. He is attending Carbon college under the. . GI educational program. Margeret Boren was appointed appoin-ted YLMIA president last week. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Brown left Sunday for Salt Lake City where, they will spend the week. Mr. and Mrs. Newt Miller accompanied ac-companied Vick Brown to Rand-elette Rand-elette Saturday. |
