Show Wyton Mrs. Sarah Nielson The M.I.A. Gold And . ! Green Ball The M.I.A. Gold and Green all was held January 10 at the school gym. Dancing started at 9:30, with the floor show at 10:30. The two flower girls, Georgia Anna An-na Fulmer and Kathleen Jones, lead the procession, followed by Queen Mrs. Asel Bingham and Crown Bearer Barry Bingham. Mr. Asel Bingham crowned the queen. Miss Bernice Palfreyman, of Roosevelt, sang a vocal solo. Eight couples then danced the Pioneer Waltz Quadrille and Centennial Polka. Every one enjoyed en-joyed dancing the remainder of iha airanlnit Miss Margaret Mary Harris, of Mt. Pleasant, came Sunday, to attend the funeral of her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. S. A. Wells. The American Legion and the Auxiliary met on January 10 in separate sessions. Mr. Otis Bur-, ton, contact representative of the 1 Veteran's Administration, was a special guest. Mrs. Helen Holder, Betty, Shirley and Gilda Wells, of Salt Lake City, came Sunday to attend at-tend the funeral of Mrs. S. A. Wells. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalghleish visited Mrs. Dalghleish's cousin, Mrs. Del Coombs and son, of North Hollywood, Sunday, at the home of Mrs. Dalghleish's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart, of Duchesne. James Bacon, of Montwel, took charge of the program at Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting, Sunday evening. Keith Peterson, Wm. Forsythe and Syrel Dennis took part in the program. The Friday Bridge club met at the home of Mrs. Homer Robinson. Rob-inson. Those present were, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. Wm. Kohler, Mrs. Wm. Preece, Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mrs. Wm. Linck, Miss Alice Al-ice Todd, and Mrs. James Dalg-leish. Dalg-leish. Babe Woods, of Vernal, visited visit-ed his mother, Mrs. Eliza Woods, a few days lest week. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harris re-, turned from Salt Lake City, Friday Fri-day night. They were at Salt Lake a week caring for Mrs. Harris' mother, Mrs. S. A. Wells, who died Friday at 10:30. Harmy McCarrol, of Craig, Colorado, visited his parents, Mr and Mrs. Jess McCarrol, over the weekend, enroute to Collidge Arizona, where he will visit his daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Davis and family. Miss Eva Hardinger, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Acel Nielson over theweekend. J Paul Lonbare returned from Denver Saturday after attending the stock show. ) John McAllen, and son, went, to Salt Lake City and back last week on business. Edsel Murfrcy and Charles Edwards, of Logan, visited Mr. I and Mrs. Vern Edwards Saturday Satur-day night. I Orville Dart and Ralph Dart went to Denver to attend the stock show. Mrs. Gilbert McKenna and Mr. Jenson, of the Roosevelt Stake Sunday School board visited visi-ted Sunday School this week. Mrs. Ed Ponton and baby, of Salt Lake, came last week to visit her mother, Mrs. Lee Cooper, Coop-er, who is ill at the Roosevelt hospital. LaVar Peterson spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Krebs, of Salt Lake City, were here to attend the funeral services for Mrs. S. A. Wells. |
