Show Introduction Of Ferguson Tractor Set For March 31 The first dealer shipment of the new Ferguson tractor since Ford-Ferguson dissolved partnership partner-ship will be on display, in Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, Wednesday, March 31, Bruce Fitzgerald, manager of the Fitzgerald Tractor company, announced Thursday. All previous pre-vious shipments of the revolutionary revolu-tionary Ferguson tractor have been for demonstration purposes (only. "The Ferguson is an improved type of tractor," Mr. Fitzgerald advised. "It has increased horsepower, horse-power, more speeds, automatic hydraulic overload protection, hydraulic implement control and front wheel tread adjustment. "The Ferguson easily handles two 14-inch plqws with plenty in reserve for the tough spots. It gives you more work from a gallon of fuel than ever dreamed possible. "It is truly said that the introduction intro-duction of the Ferguson tractor, now manufactured under the name of its designer, and exemplifying ex-emplifying the mechanical genius gen-ius for which Harry Ferguson is known, marks the beginning of another great era in power farming." Fitzeerald concluded. At the Fitzgerald Tractor Co. where the famous Ferguson will be on display and ready for demonstration dem-onstration beginning March 31, a complete tractor and farm implement im-plement repair department has been established with Leonard Eskleson in charge of parts and service. Bill Parrish, a trained Ferguson mechanic who has been with the Fitzgerald Tractor Co. since it opened for business in 1944, will direct the mechanical mechani-cal department. Hugh Murray will be in charge of farm deliveries. |
