Mrs. Jay Lar-sen Lar-sen taught the 1st and 2nd grades to Mrs McConkie's absence, and jfrS Erma Anderton taught Lilian Lil-ian Wilkerson's classes. Mr and Mrs. M. E. Martin, of Idaho, and their son and daughter-in-law visited last week with the Halverson family. Bill Wilkerson and Herbert Anderton are going to California to find work for the winter. A Farmers Union meeting was held Saturday at 7:30 for all the farmers who are interested in the purchase of the Uinta service. The MIA sponsored a Thanksgiving Thanks-giving dance Thursday. The proceeds pro-ceeds will be used to treat the children at Christmas. The home of Delias Spencer was completely destroyed by fire Saturday about 5 p. m. Mrs. Spencer was sewing in the kitchen kit-chen when she heard a crackling' noise and sent one of her boys to Investigate. He reported a small fire in the front room. When she went outside the entire roof was ablaze. She called for help and hurriedly got the children out of the house. Neighbors saved most of the furniture, but the house was destroyed before water could be obtained to fight the blaze. The community extends sympathy to the family. A large crowd from here attended at-tended funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Brown Miller, Sunday. Mrs. Miller taught the 1st and 2nd grades for two years and was loved by all. Mr. and Mrs. Conn Wilkerson, of Whiterocks, have moved back to Neola for the winter. Their daughter, Violet, is staying ' at the Gardner's in Alterra while : atending high school there this winter. Mr. and Mrs. Iliff Gardner and son, Mr. and Mrs. Garth Gardner md Mr. and Mrs. Dahl Gardner : were guests at the Rex Gardner home Saturday and Sunday.
