Show nilS Annual Play Ready For Staging On December 15 By JoAnn Gingell "We Shook the Family Tree," a delightful comedy depicting the ups and downs of a perfectly normal American family is being be-ing rehearsed by a competent cast of Roosevelt high school students stu-dents under the direction of Mrs. Virgie Murphy. Date for tne presentation of this year's school play has been set for December 15 at the Elementary Ele-mentary school gymnasium. Genele Smith, a senior from Myton, handles the lead, Hilde-gard Hilde-gard Dolson, whose misadventures misadven-tures create the turmoil for which the play is noted. The long suffering father and mother are portrayed by Howard Galloway, of Roosevelt, and Jo Ann Gingell, of Myton, both seniors. John Fausett, Ioka senior, sen-ior, plays the role of the teen-age brother, Bob, and Val Timothy, Roosevelt sophomore, the part of Jimmy, the younger brother. The family circle is rounded out by Edith Hardinger as Sally, Hildegarde's faithful slave; Lynn Miller, Neola, is the male lead in the part of Freddie Shermer, with Lola Jacksdn and Alan Smith, Roosevelt, characterizing his domineering parents. ! Jenee Benson, Bertella Swain and Dawn Pace round out the cast with Ruth Wills as student director. "We Shook the Family Tree" is being produced by special arrangement ar-rangement with the Dramatic Publishing company of Chicago. |
