Z Karl Shislcr, who is doing l meterological work in New Orleans, Or-leans, was recently accorded the honor of being named to "Who's Who" of the south and southwest. A son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shislcr, Karl is a graduate of Roosevelt high school and of UCLA, Berkeley, California. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Adams and Bonnie spent a few days in . Salt Lake City during the week. Mrs. Clara Larson, who has been visiting for the past few months with a daughter in Salt Lake City, returned to Roosevelt Roos-evelt last week. While here she will be a guest at the Clair Larson Lar-son and Hillard Broderick homes. Mrs. P. C. Johnston has gone to Richfield to attend a family reunion. She will visit there for a time before returning home. Donna Rae Labrum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Labrum left this week to work in Yellow-stont Yellow-stont National park for the remainder re-mainder of the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Max Horrocks. of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Charles Woodward, of Logan, have been visiting hei'e with their mother, Mrs. Ella Roberts. Returning to their homes, they took Mrs. Roberts as far as Salt Lake where she will visit for a time. Mrs. Nettie Stoneking, of San Bernadino, California, and Mrs. Ralph Stoneking, of Delta, visited vis-ited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Randall Stewart spent a few days in Salt Lake last week. Mrs. Ora Murdock, her daughter, daugh-ter, Jean, and her son, of Salt Lake, were Roosevelt business visitors during the week. While here they were guests at the Wilford Workman residence. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Anderton, Montwcl, Mrs. Dorothy McCul-lough McCul-lough and Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Workman entertained at a canyon can-yon party Sunday afternoon, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Chalmers Mrs. . Walter C. Baxter, of Springville, is a guest at the home of her sister, Mrs. Paul Murphy. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wlnlerton and two sons, of Kamas, and Mrs. Velma Marchant and daughters, daugh-ters, of Peoa, have returned home after spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. Van Winterton. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Davics, of Salt Lake City, were in Roosevelt Roos-evelt for the Indian Days celebration cele-bration in order that Mr. Davies might take pictures of the festivities fes-tivities to be shown on the television tel-evision program in Salt Lake City. Their five children, who have been visiting with Mrs. Davies' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Rasmussen, returned home with them. Mrs. Dave Rasmussen, of Sail Lake City, was also a guest at the Rasmussen home. A party was held Wednesday evening, August 24, at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt city park for the LDS girls of the Roosevelt slake. One hundred seventv-fivp eirls and their leaders enjoyed a program pro-gram of skits and musical numbers, num-bers, followed by a pot-luck supper. sup-per. Presley Timothy left Tuesday for Salt Lake City to board a plane for Detroit, Michigan, where he will purchase a new truck. Enroute home he will visit vis-it in Peoria, Illinois with his son, Wayne, who is serving a mission there for the L.D.. church. The Indians from the Uintah-Ouray Uintah-Ouray reservation were a feature fea-ture of the parade at the Sanpete county fair and pow-wow, Friday, Fri-day, August 19, at Manti. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Rowley left Sunday for a weeks visit in Wala Wala, Washington with their daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Killian left Sunday on a vacation trip which will take them to Denver, through Wyoming and Yellowstone Yellow-stone National Park. Elmer Richman nnd Melba returned re-turned home Thursday after spending a week in Rexburg, Idaho visiting with Mr. Rich-man's Rich-man's father and other friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Murel Benson, Kenny and Melba Benson, spent the weekend in Salt Lake City where they went to attend the Benson reunion. Loya and Jack Benson and Reid Hullinger motored to the Capitol city Sunday afternoon? to attend the reunion, returning home Monday moaning. Mr. C. Hartle, co-proprietor of the Basin Accounting Service, and his family left Tuesdaj' morning to spend the remainder of the week in Salt Lake City. Houseguests at the home of Mrs. R. T. Bonnin during the past week were Miss N. L. Nay-lor Nay-lor and Mrs. A. Johnson, of Hcmet, California, and Mrs. R. II. Koehler, of Vernal. Mrs. Harry Leardahl and family fam-ily returned Wednesday after spending a week in Salt Lake Mr. and Mrs. Heber T. Hall and Audrey left Tuesday for a vacation trip to the East. They will spend a few days in Washington, Wash-ington, D. C. with their daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd E. Olson, before returning to Roosevelt. Yvonne Fretwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Fretwell, returned re-turned Tuesday evening from a week's vacation trip to Reno and Stewart, Nevada. The descendants of Roger Horrocks held a party in Uinta canyon August 13. Ninety-three members enjoyed a delicious lunch and participated in games and songs. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zimmerman, Zimmer-man, of Dallas, Texas; Ed Zimmerman, Zim-merman, of New York City, and Gordon Pellette, of Chicago, have been vacationing- at the home of Mrs. Zimmerman's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Larsen, in Ncola. Mrs. Belle Wardle. of Sail Lake City, and Mrs. Jack'Gin-gell, Jack'Gin-gell, Myton, visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ren Fenn. Garden Gate Floral has changed its Roosevelt headquarters headquar-ters from the old location east of the bridge on Highway 40, to the Roosevelt Bakery. The move was occasioned by the ill health of Mrs. Bryan Mills, co-proprietor. Calvin Anderton, Melvin J. Bacon, and Lloyd Davis, Neola; Charles Bertola, Tabiona; Donald Anderton, Route 2, and Charles E. Bowden, Route 1, Roosevelt, have enlisted in the Navy. They are now receiving basic training at San Diego. Sgt. and Mrs. Norman Wells, have been transferred from the Price Recruiting" station to Ft.
