JENSEN County Agricultural Agent It now appears that there is a good possibility for a federal appropriation for improvement of county roads. At least we have hopes. Last week I received a request from the State Road Commission for assistance in obtaining ob-taining facts to present at the hearing in Washington. It appears that special attention atten-tion is being given to mail and milk routes. Maps were prepared showing the roads which are being be-ing used for these two purposes in the county, We hope that favorable action will be taken and I am sure that no one questions ques-tions the necessity for better roads in this area. We now have a possibility of obtaining a practicing veterinarian. veterinar-ian. Dr. P. V. Chrislofferson has indicated an interest and a meeting meet-ing was held last week with the stockmen to formulate a program to bring him to this area. It was decided to appoint community chairmen who will explain the program to the people and accept a small payment pay-ment from those who wish to help raise the necessary funds to insure veterinary service here. |
