Show Myton Mrs. Grace Dalgleish Mrs. Wm. R. Preecc was host-ess host-ess to eight members and guests of the Friday Bridge club at her home Thursday afternoon. High score was won by Mrs. Robinson. Robin-son. The LDS ward chapel was tastefully decorated Monday afternoon af-ternoon when Miss JoAnn Gin-gell Gin-gell entertained at a bridal show-er show-er honoring Mrs. LaVon Thomas, the former Miss Darlene Dean. A large group of friends from Myton, My-ton, Bridgeland, Arcadia and Duchesne enjoyed an afternoon of games climaxed by a delicious lunch. Mrs. Wm.-H. Koehler was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Preecc, Thursday and Friday, returning to Roosevelt With her sister-in-law, Mrs. R. T. Bonnin, for a brief visit before going to her home in 'Vernal. Mr. Andrew Clemons and Mrs. A. J. Feller, of Duchesne, and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Arthur Bigley, of Butte, Montana visited Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish last Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. John Solmonson and children and Mrs. Olga Solmonson Sol-monson returned Wednesday from Salt Lake. City where Mr. Solmonson recently underwent an operation. He is now convalescing conval-escing at home. Corporal Robert Hemphill, who has been enjoying a long furlough with his parents after 3 years gf service in Germany, left last week for his new station at Ft. Lewis, Washington. Wayne Jenkins, who has been on leave visiting' at the home of his mother, Mrs. Vern Edwards, left Wednesday to return to his Navy duties, stationed on the Pacific coast. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck enjoyed en-joyed a weekend visit from Mr. Linck's brother-in-law and sister, sis-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Whitman, Whit-man, and 2 small sons, of Salt Lake City. Reed Peterson left last week for New York City to enter a school for mechanical training as a World War II veteran. Jennings Solmonson went to Salt Lake City Saturday to get his wife and children who have been visiting with relatives during dur-ing the past two weeks. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Harris, Saturday and Sunday, were Mr. and Mrs. Truman Parks and two children, of Grand Junction. Colo. Mrs. Parks is Mr. Harris cousin. Mr, and Mrs. Charles Meran-da Meran-da and sons, and Lloyd Iverson, of American Fork, spent the weekend at their ranch west of town. They were joined Sunday by Sally and Marilyn Meranda. Mrs. Geo. Moeller arrived Sunday Sun-day night from Altadent, Calif, to visit at the home of her uncle, A. M. Todd, and cousin. Miss Alice Todd. Mrs. R. E. Miller, a former Myton resident arrived Monday night to take care .of her property proper-ty interests here. She has been visiting for several months in St. Louis, Mo., with her son. Gene, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dennis arrived ar-rived from Provo Wednesday to visit until Sunday with their family, fam-ily, and to take part in a family celebration commemmoratinfi-Mr. commemmoratinfi-Mr. Dennis 77th birthday. The group gathered at the La-Vor La-Vor Dennis home Friday night with the following children present: pres-ent: Mr. and Mrs, M. L. Cook and family, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Tyler, Phoenix, Ariz., Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dennis and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dennis Den-nis and family, Mr. and Mrs. Syerl Dennis and Mr. and Mrs. Devon Gentry. Monday night Dan Dennis was guest of honor at an evening picnic at Five Mile mountain on the Price road. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dennis, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dennis, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Babcock and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas Thom-as and family and Mr. and Mrs. Devon Gentry. |
