Show RoQSOi'elt Lbus Fete loos &;s At Annual Party r.Xion club members from He-ber He-ber City, Duchesne, Randlett and Vernal roared with Roosevelt Lions Saturday night at the annual an-nual fall zone party of the five clubs. Ninety Lions attended the autumn jollification which included in-cluded a venison dinner prepared by the " American Legion auxiliary aux-iliary and a dance in the Legion barracks. Business discussions were strictly out of order Saturday night. The two Lion zone parties held each year are purely social functions and the local meet was no exception. Arrangements for the host club, Roosevelt, were handled by Dr. John Bourne, with Alvin Weeks, Vernal, zone chairman directing the overall plans. Mayor Bry Stringham of Vernal Ver-nal was in attendance at a member mem-ber of the board of directors of Lions International. Following the zone social, Howard Ivory, president of the Roosevelt Lions club revealed that the Vernal Lions are sponsoring spon-soring a reseeding project on Diamond mountain. The plans are under the immediate direction direc-tion of the club's committee on agriculture. Reseeding will start next summer with both public and private lands being included. |
