Show Bear With Us The strange appearance of this edition of the Roosevelt Roose-velt Standard is a result of a rather serious situation, and not an experiment in modern newspaper make-up. As you know the news print shortage in the United States is acute, and many papers arc suspending publication publi-cation for the want of it. Here at the Standard we were able, fortunately, to get a size of newsprint slightly smaller than our xisual 32x22. Hence we are printing a paper this week with six columns to the page instead of the usual seven. Even the masthead has been altered. All in all its given us a lot of grief; grief which may not let up for several weeks. Please bear with us in this matter we'll give you a newspaper even though it may have to be printed on brown wrapping paper. |
