The Perry reunion was held August 25 at Uinta Canyon with the following present: Mr. and Mrs. William Andrew Mortensen, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Timothy, and John, Angus and Perry Timothy, Tim-othy, Dayl Timothy Bruce Nar-ten, Nar-ten, Dawna Narten and friends, Miss Berle Stewart and Miss Hope Thompson, of Wellington, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Perry and daughter, Dawna, Mr., and Mrs. Maurice Winn and family, Alvin, Mary Ann and Gwendlyn, Mr. land Mrs. Charles Crow and I daughter, Mr, and Mrs. Jerald Smith of Salt Lake City, Mrs. James Freestone and two children chil-dren of Vernal, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lyman and son McChell, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Alexander of Roosevelt, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Jones and family, Mr. and Mr. Loyal Perry and family of My-ton. My-ton. Mrs. Glenn Rasmussen and son, of Salt Lake City, returned home Wednesday after visiting ten days with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Jen-nings Solomonson. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Broadhcad and baby of Heber, visited Mrs. Elswbrth Cox and family last week. Mrs. Gus Solomonson returned return-ed home Sunday from Joseph. She has been visiting her sister and other relatives. Miss Glenda Price, of Heber, returned to her home Sunday after visiting two weeks with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. James Giles. Mr. and Mrs. Don Giles, of Clearfield, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. James Giles. LaNar Crapo came home Saturday Sat-urday to go to school. She has been visiting her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Krebs for the past two months. Miss Shirley Mangum, of Or-em, Or-em, came Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Leo Elder. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Krebs and baby visited the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Crapo. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Harris and family and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Harris, of Provo, were guests of Mr.- and Mrs. Leonard Harris over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Harve Portridge and daughter visited the Lymans at Duchesne on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Crapo and family enjoyed a weekend visit from Mr. Crapo's mother, Mrs. Jane Crapo, of Fillmore and his sister, Mrs. Emily Robinson and family, of San Francisco, Calif. Pvt. Dee Woods, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Woods, was discharged from service and came home Thursday, August 28. Mrs. Mark Curtis and son, Carlyle and daughter, Colleen, moved to Los Angeles Monday. Mr. Curtis will join them later. The following program was presented by the Genealogical committee Sunday: opening song, "O What Shall the Harvest Be-" prayer, Mrs. Don Herbert;' talk, Laurel Snyder, "Why I as a young girl want to be married the Temple;" talk Kay Elder, Why I as a young man want to be married in the Temple;" solo, Mrs. Roland Krebs, "Let Us All Speak Kind Words to Each Other;" talk, Clarence Liddell, "What marriage means to me;" closing song, "What Prize Shall Be Our Reward; benediction by Reuben Snyder. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Preece accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Billie Preece to Salt Lake City Thursday Thurs-day where they visited until Saturday. The Preeces came ! home Saturday and Mr. and Mrs , Billie Preece left for San Francisco Fran-cisco where they will seek employment. em-ployment. Classes in polio care were held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Fri-day at the church house at 1:30 each day. Wednesday Dr. John Bourne gave a lecture on "Symptoms "Symp-toms and Early Diagnosis," and "Public Health Resources for Care of Polio Patients." Mrs. Rose Englesbee demonstrated general nursing care of the polio patient the second day. At Friday's Fri-day's class Mrs. Englesbee demonstrated dem-onstrated the hot pack method of treatment. Mr. and Mrs. George Funk and family went to Salt Lake City and Provo over the weekend. They took Francis to Mt. Plea-1 sant where she will attend school. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harris took their daughter, Margaret Mary and Nancy. Todd to Mt. Pleasant to attend school. Miss LaRue Linck went out and back with them. Mr. and Mrs. Felix Quintana and daughter, Elnora, went to O.rem to visit Mr. and Mrs. Charles Quintana for a week Mrs. Ray Thompson, Mrs. Emma Em-ma Jean Hadden were visiting m Salt Lake City last week. W. A. Jennings took John and Richard , Babcock, Fredie Dart and Nina Babcock to Mt. Pleasant Plea-sant to attend school. Mr and Mrs. James Nowland. of California are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Elder Wall and friends |
