| Show 0 MONTH SCHOOL PROVIDE 0 FOR IN BUDGET lower salaried teachers to receive 5 pay increase the budget for the S sevier evier school district for 1934 35 as accepted at a public hearing here this week will take care of a nine months school term with a reduction from last terms expenses the estimated expenses for the next term is as compared with for the 1933 34 term the biggest slash comes in the total debt service which is reduced from to other reductions are giver given as follows total insurance expense to 1400 total interest on bonded and floating indebtedness to total capital outlay to the first figures are for the term and the last figures represent the estimated expense for the 1934 35 term the increases are in these departments part ments total administrative expense to the main item for the increase being election expenses which the boad board of education did not have during the past term total instruction expense toj to this increased s due aue one mon month th longer term of bf school and also the salaries of all teachers who received below 75 a month last term were increased 5 for the coming term total operating expenses to this increase also being caused by nine months term total maintenance expense to the big increase for maintenance is a result of extensive repairs of buildings throughout the district the materials being provided by the district and the obtaining of relief labor total auxiliary agencies expense to including ordinate coordinate co activities and transportation the longer school term also causing this increase the first figures given here are for the the term the estimated revenue for the coming term is as compared with for last term the estimate for 1934 35 is based on a term of nine months taxes are estimated on a basis of 62 per cent collection of a 13 23 mill levy and a valuation of warrant receipts are on a basis of 12 4 per cent of salaries |
