Capitalism has made! prosperity for the masses by selling!! the stocks of all great industries to ; customers and employes, and paying! high wages. Socialism would accomplish social equality by pushing everyone down to the same level, passing laws to keep them there. Capitalism forwards democracy de-mocracy by giving everyone an equal opportunity to climb the ladder of success. Today's millionaire was yesterday's newsboy. Socialism advocates internationalism international-ism and peace among nations. In the meantime, an official of a great "capitalistic" "cap-italistic" corporation and a financier have settled a problem that menaced the peace of the world the Repara tions tangle. The principle difference between the two schools of thought is that Socialism Social-ism would make the government all-powerful. all-powerful. It would enthrone the mass at the expense of the individual. Capitalism believes in encouraging private initiative and that government, should exist for the individual instead of the individual existing for the government. gov-ernment.
