Show Injury Proves Fatal To Workman While after wood in Six Mile Canyon Monday, October 10, James Chris Christensen met with an accident ac-cident which has resulted in his death, word having been received early Tuesday morning that he had passed away in the Saint Marks hospital at Salt Lake City. After makine the cut at the base of a large tree Mr. Christensen Christen-sen tried to push it over. As itba-gan itba-gan to fall he attempted to get out of the way, but in doing so he tripped over a small tree and was thrown to the ground. The tree fell upon him, acrcss his stomach. He was released from this painful pain-ful situation and brought home by Tom Braithwaite. his son, Hal and Jay Braithwaite. A doctor was summoned immediately, imme-diately, but the condition of the injured man was not considered serious until Thursday, when it was thought advisable to take him to a Salt Lake hospital, where an operation was performed. t-iio first news nfter the ODera- tion was that it had been a success suc-cess and that Mr. Christensen was getting along as well as could be expected. Tuesday the sad news of his death was received at the home. Funeral services will be held in the Center ward chapel this afternoon after-noon (Friday) at 2 o'clock. Manti |
