Show Snow College Notes Basketeers Vie for Sectional Supremacy The stage for the sport fans at Snow has shitted from the gridiron to the gymnasium. As an added attraction at-traction the cisaba stars have been pitted against each other in sectional contests. Four teams have entered the field of combat: the Southerner; from south of Manti; the Templars from Manti, tho Carrot Eaters from Ephraim, and the Ramblers fro,m north of Ephraim. In the first round of play the Templars beat the Southerners South-erners 23-18. and the Carrot Eaters downed the Ramblers by a 32-10 count. Chesley Norman and Morris Bunnel two former North Sanpete students, are playing cn the Ramblers team. Students Register Students win have been in attendance attend-ance at Snow the quarter just ending have completed their registration for the winter term. Many new students are expected to register within the next week or so. Classwork for the winter term begins December 2nd. From present indications the student body for the winter term will be much larger than it has been heretofore. "S" ClnH Annexes New Members The freshmen gridders who earned their letter were iniated into the "S' club Wednesday during the matinee dance held in the gym. Those who received the paddling . are: VariNoy Stewart, Vernon Johansen, Reese Bunnel, Bun-nel, Morris Bunnel, Chesley Norman, Charley Shultz, Lionel Wasden, Smith Fullmer, Earl Peterson, and Mernt Estes. The football dance to have been held November 22nd has been post- poned until December 6th. The dance is the annual athletic ball to help raise funds for the sweater awards for the gridders. Those who will rp- cieve sweaters are: Captain Gordon ' Staker, Verl Johansen, Harris Soren- ', son and Mark Jackman, two year let- ' termen. The first year lettermen re- cieving the award are: VanNoy Stew- art, Vernon Johansen, Reese and and Morris Bunnel, Chesley Norman. Charley Shultz, Lioneel Wasden, Mel- ' roy Luke, Smith Fullmer, Earl Peter- ! son and Merrit Estes. . - . |
