Show Leadership School Closes at Gunnison On Friday a Recreational Leadership Leader-ship school which has been in session for four days, under the immediate direction of Jack Stuart Knapp of New York City, held its final session at the Gunnison Valley high school at Gunnison. Mr. Knapp is an employe of the Playground and Recreation Associa tion of America, and temporarily loaned loan-ed to the United States Department of Agriculture, and is working in Utah for a few weeks in cooperation with the U. S. A. C. Extension Service. County Agents C. O. Stott of Sanpete and S. R. Boswell of Sevier are to charge of the school locally. Thirty-five Thirty-five local leaders have been in attendance attend-ance at the sessions, from Fairview, Sanpete county on the north, to Monroe, Mon-roe, Sevier county on the south. Mr. Knapp is a specialist in dramatic dramat-ic Art. Along with his regular program pro-gram he introduced some games and folk dancing. He emphasized the following fol-lowing major points during the week: stunts and programs; producing the play; stagecraft, color and scenery; makeup; costuming and lighting; acting; act-ing; plays and programs sources. |
